Awesome day on May 19th, 2012.

Springfest 2012 at CSU East Bay. I work for ASI as a graphic designer and got to be part of the media team. It was my first time working an event like this, and it was really awesome being able to have access to the stage, behind the scenes, etc. and being able to take pictures of everything. I’m not a great photographer or anything, and am still learning.

The highlight of my day, surprisingly, was when I met Miguel. I introduced myself and told him I was the one who designed the artwork for Springfest, including posters, fliers, banners, etc. He replied saying he thought it was one of the dopest posters he’s seen so far here, or something along those lines. I was in awe.

When my co-workers went to interview him, they had a few of the posters in hand. His manager said that Miguel wanted the full resolution poster emailed to him. I was fucking excited when I found out. It was one of the coolest things that’s ever happened in my life.

And to top that off, I finally got to meet Lupe Fiasco, my first favorite rapper ever back in High School. Fuck LASERS, but I will still support Lupe Fiasco. I got the shirt from the Steppin’ Lasers tour a year before Lasers came out, when that piece of shit didn’t exist yet. Oh well. FNF UP!

It was a great day. Got a bit of a glasses tan on my face, but not too noticeable.

Excited for next year! I love my job!
